Job Title: Visiting Assistant Professor in Composition
Rank: Asst. Professor
One-year position in the Composition Department for the 2012-2013 academic years, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. This is in addition to a three-year position previously posted. Responsibilities: Teach composition to classes and individual students, teach related courses selected from the following areas: orchestration, technological media, interdisciplinary collaboration, or advanced instrumental techniques, and participate in committees, meetings, and activities of the Composition Department.
Qualifications: Applicants should be active, recognized composers with experience teaching composition and related subjects, including technology-based topics. Applicants should hold an advanced degree in composition, or have outstanding experience and recognition as a composer. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to work effectively within a dynamic artistic community.
